NGC 6891

Combination of 10, 1 minute exposures, SBIG ST-8E CCD.
30" f/5 newtonian at prime focus.

NGC 6891 is a small but fairly bright planetary nebula on the Delphinus-Aquila border. In a 10" telescope the planetary is easily visible, although moderately high magnification is needed to see the disk. The central star is quite bright, so an OIII filter is very useful for a better view of the nebula. This central star is more easily visible in the image below, which is the same as the above only processed slightly differently.
