8" f/10 schmidt-cassegrain telescope at prime focus.
Close to the bright star chi ceti, is a bright, edge-on galaxy, NGC 681, that looks like a minature version of M104, the Sombreo galaxy. Although the galaxy is easily visible in an 8" telescope, the dark lane could not be seen with a 12" telescope.
