NGC 6362

Situated in the Southern Milky Way ajoining Scorpius, the constellation of Ara contains a comparitivly high proportion of deep-sky objects. One that is often neglected is NGC 6362, situated in the southernmost part of the constellation. NGC 6362, a fine, small and fairly loose globular cluster that is well resolved in an 8" telescope. It is situated in a rich portion of the Milky Way and is a good object for small telescopes.
