NGC 6118

SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

NGC 6118 is a moderately bright spiral galaxy in Serpens. In an 18" telescope, it appears as an elliptical patch of light with a brighter centre. Several very faint stars were seen within the galaxy.
