NGC 5897

45 minutes exposure, Fuji Super HG II 400 film.
5" f/5 refractor, prime focus.

NGC 5897 is a moderately large and reasonably bright globular cluster in Libra. For some reason this object seems to be often overlooked in observing guides, possibly because it does not have a Messier number. It is actually quite a good object and in an 8" telescope some resolution of the outer regions is achieved.
