NGC 5037

8" f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

NGC 5037 is a moderately faint edge-on, spiral galaxy in Virgo, and is part of the Virgo cluster of galaxies. It is faintly visible as an elongated streak in an 8" telescope. Amongst the other fainter galaxies visible in the image are the 13th magnitude NGC 5035 (above) and the 15th magnitude PGC 46108 (upper left).
