Comet 4P/ Faye

Comet 4/p Faye is a faint periodic comet that is a member of Jupiter's "family" of comets. During the 2006 return it reached around magnitude 11. At the time the image below was taken, the comet was around magnitude 13 and displayed a very short, faint tail.

The 2014 return is somewhat unfavourable. While the comet is expected to reach about 12th magnitude in May 2014, the comet was very low to the horizon at this time. Despite this, the comet still appeared quite nice in images during May.
