NGC 4762


Combination of 3, 3 minute exposures, Meade 416xt CCD.
300mm f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

NGC 4762 is a moderately bright edge-on, spiral galaxy in Virgo, about 2 degrees west of epsilon, near the eastern edge of the Virgo cluster. It is easily visible as an elongated streak in an 8" telescope.

In the top right, (west) cornor is the bright spiral galaxy NGC 4754.
