SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

NGC 4653 is a beautiful, face-on spiral galaxy in Virgo. Very slightly brighter centre. There are several other galaxies visible in same field. The small galaxy to the lower left of NGC 4653 is the 16.9 magnitude PGC 1139207. The bright galaxy to the lower right is the 13.0 magnitude NGC 4642, while the galaxy in the upper right corner is the 15.4 magnitude PGC 42767. In the upper left corner is the 16.3 magnitude, edge-on galaxy PGC 42908. Numerous other fainter galaxies are also visible.
