NGC 4395 is a large barred spiral galaxy in Coma Berenicies. Although the total magnitude is relatively bring at around 10.4, the large size means the surface brightness is quite low, making dark skies a must of visual observation. The structure of the galaxy is very distorted, with the spiral arms being very open, and faint.
