NGC 4111


Combination of 5, 3 minute images unfiltered.
SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

Numerous other galaxies are visible in the above image, two of which were seen visually. These were the 13.0 magnitude, NGC 4117 to the upper left (north east) and to the upper right, the 14.0 magnitude, PGC 38356, which was seen with great difficulty in the 18". The bright galaxy to the lower right is the 15.1 magnitude, PGC 38375.

NGC 4111 is a very elongated galaxy with a bright core in Canes Venatici. 2 other galaxies are visible in the field.
