NGC 40

16" f/10 schmidt-cassegrain at prime focus.

NGC 40 is a rather small, but bright planetary nebula in Cepheus. In an 8" telescope it appears as a bright circular patch with a bright central star. In an 18" telescope it appeared as a bright disk, slightly brighter at the edges.
