NGC 3893

SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

NGC 3893 is a moderately large and bright galaxy in Ursa Major. In an 18" telescope it appears round with a brighter centre. NGC 3896 was visible in the field to the south east.

In the image above, the small galaxy to the south east (lower left) is the 12.8 magnitude NGC 3896.
