NGC 3665

SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

NGC 3665 is a fairly large and bright galaxy , located in Ursa Major. It an 18" telescope it appeared as a large elliptical have with a star-like core. A second, fainter galaxy, NGC 3658 was vasible in the field. In the image above, the bright galaxy towards the lower right is the 13.1 magnitude NGC 3658.
