NGC 3640

SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

NGC 3640 is a fairly bright, moderately large and round galaxy in Leo. In an 18" telescope it displayed a bright centre, fading smoothly outwards. NGC 3641 was visible ajoining to the south. This galaxy was very small and fainter, almost star-like.
