NGC 3504

SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 20" f/6.8 Dall-Kirkham cassegrain telescope at prime focus.

NGC 3504 is a bright SBb, barred spiral galaxy in Leo Minor. The bright galaxy to the east (left) is the magnitude 12.3 NGC 3512. In an 18" telescope the galaxy appeared as a bright and moderately large object, with a bright centre and a somewhat elongated core, surrounded by a faint circular haze. NGC 3512 was visible in same field.
