SBIG ST9XE CCD. 12" f/10 schmidt-cassegrain telescope and an f/6.3 focal reducer.

NGC 3486 is a beautiful face-on spiral galaxy in Leo Minor. The spiral arms are very open and show well in images. In an 18" telescope it appears very bright and fairly large, with a bright centre surrounded by very faint haze.
