NGC 3344

SBIG ST9XE CCD. 12" f/10 schmidt-cassegrain telescope and an f/6.3 focal reducer.

NGC 3344 is a large but moderately faint galaxy in Leo Minor that displays a brighter, star-like core. The small galaxy just above the star to the lower right is the 15.9 magnitude PGC 1718878. There are numerous other fainter galaxies in the image below.
