Combination of 10, 3 minute exposures using H-alpha and Sulphur II filters,
and 5, 3 minute exposures using an Oxygen III filter.
SBIG ST-8XE CCD. 300mm f/6 newtonian telescope at prime focus.

NGC 3242 is a bright and moderately large planetary nebula located in the constellation Hydra. In a small telescope it appears as a rather uniform circular disk. In a 12" or larger telescope some structure becomes evident.


Combination of 5, 3 minute images unfiltered.
