NGC 2626

45 minutes exposure, Fuji Provia 400 slide film.
5" f/5 refractor at prime focus.

NGC 2626 is a small and faint reflection nebula in northern Vela. The large group of stars at the centre top of the image, is the scattered open cluster, Ru64. The very faint emisson nebulae that pervades much of the image does not have a designation. Possibly it is part of the huge Gum Nebula that covers much of the constellation Vela.

The glow at the bottom left is an image artifact.
