NGC 2359, also known as Thor's Helmet is a fairly large nebula surrounding a Wolf-Rayet star. The star is losing a considerable amount of matter in a fast stellar wind and this is ploughing into the surrounding nebula, causing a huge cosmic bubble. Located in Canis Major, NGC 2359 is a relatively easy object even for small telescopes.
