NGC 2346 is a moderately small but bright planetary nebula in Monoceros, about 8 degrees south-west of Procyon. It is a bi-polar type, with a bright centre and two fainter "wings", which are the gas being ejected from the poles of the dying star. It is easily visible in a 10" telescope.

SBIG ST-9XE CCD. 14" f/11 schmidt-cassegrain with an f/6.3 focal reducer.
