SBIG STL-1001E CCD. 5" f/5 refractor at prime focus.

NGC 2244 is the open cluster in the centre of the famous "Rosette Nebula" in Monoceros. (NGC 2237/2239) Because the cluster and surrounding nebulosity is so large, only a small portion is visible in the image above. This is better shown in the image below.
