NGC 2169 is a small cluster of bright star in northern Orion, between Gemini and Taurus. The brightest stars are all B and A main-sequence stars.

The cluster is situated in a fairly rich section of the Milky Way and the reqion is interesting to sweep with a wide field telescope. The emission nebula to the north (up) of NGC 2169 is Sharpless 2-261.
