NGC 1326 is a bright, barred spiral galaxy that is part of the Fornax galaxy cluster. It is situated near the western edge of the cluster, about 3 degrees west of the more spectacular barred spiral galaxy NGC 1365. It is a very easy object in an 8" telescope, and appears as a bright central patch of light, surrounded by a faint haze. The very faint outer spiral arms shown in the image as not visible.
