NGC 121 is a small and rather faint globular cluster close to the magnificent globular cluster 47 tucanae. It is actually a member of the Small Magellanic Cloud, and is one of the easiest extra-galactic globular clusters to observe. At 10.6 magnitude it is easily visible in a 6" telescope, and appears as a small hazy patch of light in an 8".

Combination of 3, 3-minute exposures, Meade 416XTE CCD.
8" f/6 newtonian at prime focus.
