Comet 2011 J2 LINEAR

Comet 2011 J2 LINEAR is a very distant comet, with a perihelion distance of around 3.5AU. It reached around magnitude 12 at perihelion around the end of 2013. When the first image below was taken, the comet was around 16th magnitude. By March of 2013, the comet was around magnitude 15.5 and displayed a short tail.

By the end of 2013, the comet was around magnitude 13. A short tail was still visible, but it appeared to have a pronounced curve.
