Comet 2011 A3 Gibbs

Comet 2011 A3 Gibbs was a faint and rather distant comet that reached perihelion in January, 2012 and a distance of 2.34AU from the Sun. However by then the Earth was on the opposite side of the Sun. As a result, the comet never became a bright object. At magnitude 17 when this image was obtained, no tail was visible.
