Comet 2006 S3 LONEOS

Comet 2006 S3 LONEOS is a very distant comet that reached perihelion in March 2012, at a distance of about 5.13AU, or a little further from the Sun than Jupiter. Despite this great distance, it was around 12th magnitude when these images were taken, and expected to remain around this brightness well into 2013.
