Comet 2005 A1 LINEAR

Comet 2005 A1 LINEAR provided a fine sight in telescopes for southern hemisphere observers, when it reached 8th magnitude during March 2005 when it passed within a few degrees of the south celestial pole. Unfortunately for northern hemisphere observers, by the time it became accessible once more, it had faded considerably, although it was still a nice object in CCD images.
