Comet 2004 R2 ASAS

Comet 2004 R2 ASAS was quite bright at discovery and peaked at about magnitude 6 a few weeks later, just before it reached perihelion. However after perihelion in mid-October 2004, the brightness fell precipitiously and by the time this image was taken, the comet was below 18th magnitude!
