Comet 2004 B1 LINEAR was a reasonably bright telescopic object for southern hemisphere observers during late 2005 and early 2006, when it peaked at about magnitude 11.5. Unfortunately for northern hemisphere observers, it had faded somewhat by the time it moved far enough north to be seen.
