Undergraduate Level
In the physics department at TTU,
we don't have the biophysics degree program at the undergraduate
level. However, students interested in graduate education and
careers in biophysics are encouraged to take some entry level
biology courses. We also provide education in the form of undergraduate
research project to undergraduate students from physics and chemistry
departments. Students interested in a Physics/Biology double major option and/or
undergraduate research projects are encouraged
to contact us.
Graduate Level
We offer M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied
Physics graduate program in our Physics Department. Usually, students
are encouraged to take graduate courses in the area of biochemistry,
physiology and biology in order to understand and appreciate the
complex biological systems. We believe that this multi-disciplinary
training in research and course work provides unique and valuable
opportunities to biophysics students who are likely to face the
increasingly diversified and cross-disciplinary workforce in most
industrial and academic sectors.
