This is the dome that houses the Monster I keep talking about. This is the back of the Dome. You can see the red catwalk that goes a round the dome. This is so astronomers can look at the weather and make sure things don't get in the way.
This is the front of the Dome.
This is the front of the dome open. This looks like the back, but it is because the dome rotates around. Watch out! The monster is looking out.
Meet the MONSTER, all 2.7 meters of it. There are other telescopes in the world that are bigger, but this is here in Texas. As you can see this thing is huge! I had to take two pictures to show it all to you. You see the orange deals? From there down is the equipment that takes the picture. There is a control room in the back there where all the data is collected. LOOK at it! It was really AWESOME.
