Kimberly Bouldin and Jeff Hastings, Physics graduate students, were honored as recipients of Achievement Rewards for College Scientists Scholarships for 1998-99. These scholarships are given to science majors who have outstanding academic records.

In recognition of her outstanding teaching, former graduate student and now PhD alumnus Toni Sauncy was a 1998 recipient of the Graduate Dean's Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award
