GANGOPADHYAY SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT IS ESTABLISHED
The department is pleased to announce that a new scholarship endowment has been established by Professor Shubhra
Gangopadhyay and her husband, Keshab. This scholarship is for physics or engineering physics freshmen with outstanding high
school records. The first Gangopadhyay awards will be made for the 2000-2001 year. This generous gift is typical for Dr.
Gangopadhyay. In addition to being a dedicated teacher and researcher, she is always concerned with student welfare. She has
worked tirelessly at several student recruitment and advisement assignments over many years. The department thanks the
Gangopadhyays very much!
