Physics Education
Overview
The Texas Tech University Physics Education Research Group consists of
Profs. Lamp
and Thacker.
They are working on assessment of students' qualitative and quantitative understanding of physics concepts,
assessment and comparison of the effectiveness of different instructional methods, curriculum development
and the development of assessment instruments.
Dr. Lamp in particular is studying content acquisition by pre-service teachers and primary school students.
Both Drs. Lamp and Thacker welcome graduate students who are interested in physics education
and physics education research.
