Our son Chris was born on 9/8/76 in Lausanne, Switzerland. (While I was at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.) He excelled in school and was involved in many extra-curricular activities. He became an Eagle Scout in 1994.
Chris graduated from Lubbock High School in 1995. He received his BS in Computer Science from Texas Tech University (TTU) in 1999. While he was at TTU, he was a National Merit Scholarship recipient and he also received the TTU Presidential Endowed Scholarship. He has broad experience in Computer Science and software development. In 1996-1999, he worked for Compu-Share, a financial software company in Lubbock. In 2000-2002, he worked for Inet Technologies, a telecommunications company in Plano, TX. In 2002-2007, he worked for eSchool Solutions, an Orlando, FL company that develops software for public school systems.
Chris married Kristen Bennett on 6/27/98 in Wichita Falls, TX. Kristen graduated from S.H. Rider High School (Wichita Falls) in 1995. She received her BS in Psychology from TTU in 1999 and her MS in Applied Cognition & Neuroscience from the U. of Texas at Dallas in 2002. During her MS studies, she did an internship at the U. of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is an expert in Clinical Neurophysiology. In 2002-2007, she worked in Orlando, FL for Biotronic, a company that contracts with hospitals for neurophysiological (brain, brain stem, and spine) monitoring services and equipment.
In 2007, Chris and Kristen moved from Orlando, FL to Orange County, CA. He works as a software engineer for Blizzard Entertainment, a company in Irvine, CA that produces video games. She works as a neurophysiologist for Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Hollywood. A major portion of her job is to monitor brain and nerve function during surgery.
